Thermostats are a beneficial optional accessory when incorporated with any Heat-Line freeze protection system. A Heat-Line thermostat can be added to Heat-Line systems to duty cycle the heating cable at specified temperatures. The heating cable will turn on when it is at risk of freezing and turn off when there is no risk of freezing. The result is reduced energy costs by decreasing overall energy consumption.
The HLJ-STAT is a programmable thermostat available to order with Heat-Line systems and is suitable for 120 V heating cable systems. HLJ-STAT comes factory programmed for optimal ON/OFF temperature settings as recommended by Heat-Line. If for any reason the pre-programmed settings need to be changed or if the settings were accidentally lost, the keypad can be unlocked and re-programmed manually. In this video, we detail how to manually re-program the HLJ-STAT thermostat temperature settings.
